ZIAD TOUMA

Ziad Touma est un cinéaste oeuvrant en cinéma, télévision et médias numériques, tant en fiction qu’en documentaire. Son premier long métrage Saved by the Belles a reçu trois nominations aux Prix Génie, alors que le site web du film a remporté le Prix Boomerang en Arts et Culture ainsi qu'une nomination aux Prix South by SouthWest. Nominé par les Prix Gemini pour Meilleure réalisation (Webdreams) et par les Leo Awards pour Meilleure série (Chop Shop) dans les catégories documentaires, Ziad a réalisé des émissions de télévision à travers le monde et ce, pour la plupart des réseaux du Québec et du Canada. Ses courts métrages Line Up et Dinner at Bubby's ont remporté plusieurs prix sur le circuit des festivals internationaux. Ziad habite et travaille présentement quelque part entre Montréal, Vancouver et LA. 


Ziad Touma is a filmmaker working in cinema, television and digital media, both in fiction and documentary. His first feature film Saved by the Belles, was nominated for three Genie Awards, and its website won the Boomerang Award for Best Arts & Culture and was nominated as Best Entertainment Site at the SXSW Awards. After having directed television shows around the world, including a recent doc series in Mali, Ziad has put his stamp on shows for most major Canadian networks. His work was up for a Gemini Award as Best Director (Webdreams) and a Leo Award for Best Series (Chop Shop) in the documentary categories. His short films Line Up and Dinner at Bubby's won numerous awards on the international film festival circuit. Ziad currently lives and works somewhere between Montreal, Vancouver and LA.
